This position involves working as a team with other employees within the Case Management Department to service SelectQuote Life’s clients and maximize the number of policies completing the underwriting process with our carrier partners. Outbound Client Service Specialists provide vital customer service and are primarily responsible for making a high volume of outbound calls to clients with outstanding information that needs to be obtained. This position requires extensive telephone/computer work, complementing the sales process by handling objections, reinforcing the buying decision and persuading clients to return their paperwork.

Essential Functions:

  • Manage a high volume of outbound calls per day
  • Retrieve outstanding underwriting requirements from customers, while answering any customer
  • service related questions during phone-calls
  • Ability to handle customer objections or complaints in order to provide a comfort level with the
  • client, so the consumer can move forward with their respective policy
  • Educate consumers on the underwriting process around documents and requirements needed to
  • assist carriers in pricing and approving their life insurance policies
  • Ability to understand and discuss private client information including medical and motor vehicle records
  • Meet and exceed specific, attainable goals

  • Build an understanding of other department functions, thus being able to correctly identify a course of action for a case
  • Progressively over time, demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of the term life insurance application process
