Job Summary:
The Business Analyst will be responsible for working with stakeholders to analyze and document business processes and gather business requirements. This role will do the discovery work when Project Requests are submitted. They will work with the Product Owner to fill out the Project Request document. They will work with Project Manager and the UX Designer to create the JIRA stories for approved projects.
Essential Functions:
- Understand the business team’s interaction with and use of systems in production
- Meet with business stakeholders and product owners to gather requirements
- Create JIRA stories as they relate to the overall project requirements
- Communicate effectively and efficiently with business stakeholders and product owners
- Demonstrate strong performance in the areas of collaboration, team work, reliability, productivity, and execution
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proven work experience as a Business Analyst or similar role
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Solid planning, organizational, and time management skills.
- Strong client-facing and teamwork skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks while working on multiple issues at once
Training and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or an equivalent combination of related education and work experience
- Work in an agile development team – Jira or Trello experience is a plus
- Work with SQL Database is a plus
