Job Summary:

The Senior Director of Sales Operations is responsible for division operational oversight, operational support and execution, project management of key programs, divisional reporting, process management and leadership direction within the Auto and Home division. The Senior Director of Sales Operations will be a key member of the SelectQuote Auto and Home leadership team and responsible for operational execution and operational support of the sales team.

This individual will be responsible for conducting qualitative and quantitative analysis to measure the success of the division while working cross functionally to gain alignment and execute the key projects driven by senior leadership. As a senior leader in this division, the ideal candidate must be able to communicate and influence internal senior division team members, the executive team, external partners, and the working team to meet objectives. Strong leadership and communications skills are imperative for this role.

This leader (and her/his team) will have the following primary responsibilities:

  • Lead delivery and execution related to sales operational reporting, strategic planning, and project execution for the Auto and Home division
  • Provide the sales team with the analytic support needed to manage the business. This includes developing/enhancing sales dashboards, and leading deep dives on performance results to identify issues and uncover problems
  • Identify opportunities to improve business performance and works cross-functionally with business partners to gain buy-in on new opportunities
  • Drives key new sales and operational programs and projects from inception through implementation. Responsible for ensuring new initiatives are fully vetted and launched at a high velocity
  • Report out on results of new projects, programs, and initiatives to ensure programs are having the desired outcome
  • Coordinate closely with the finance team on ensuring our operational metrics are aligned with the P&L forecasts
  • Serve as a key leader on the SelectQuote Auto and Home leadership team

Training & Experience:

  • 5-10+ years of progressive management experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in an analytical discipline such as finance or data analytics
  • At least 5 years of experience in an operational discipline (management, marketing, program management)
  • 5+ years leading a team
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and deliver against a budgeted P&L
  • Proven experience as both a player and a coach – ability to execute while also leading and influencing others
  • Bachelor’s degree (MBA preferred)
