SelectQuote is looking to hire Information Technology Interns to join our helpdesk, telecom, and application support teams for the summer of 2021. These positions will offer the individual the opportunity to assist with troubleshooting end user issues, learning onboarding and offboarding processes and learn about ticket management systems. The Information Technology interns for these projects will need to demonstrate strong problem solving abilities to support SelectQuote’s Technology Vision & strategy.

As a member of the SelectQuote IT Team, the IT Intern will have the opportunity to learn and apply an analytical problem solving approach to a diverse set of business questions. The IT Intern will work directly with the Managers and members of the IT team, as well as other stakeholders who work with technology around SelectQuote. This internship will prepare the candidate for future work in the field of IT by equipping them to leverage a variety of tools and techniques to answer business questions.

Responsibilities & Rotations:

  • Learning Google Suite and Active Directory configurations and settings
  • Assisting with onboarding and offboarding of agents at various capacities
  • Troubleshooting end user issues and providing feedback
  • Configuring user settings within various software applications
  • Assisting in keeping various ticketing systems up to date
  • Assisting in the configuration of hardware
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • Providing excellent customer service

What You Need to be Successful:

  • Currently enrolled in Junior or Senior year of college/university
  • Degree focused in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering
  • Relevant previous internship experience or the completion of a project that demonstrates aptitude for programming and data analysis
  • Problem Solving
  • The ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills
  • Basic understanding of SQL
  • Ability to understand the issue and provide workarounds and document issue
