Job Summary:

This HR Generalist is an integral part of the HR team, working closely with senior HR management to support business leaders in making decisions, participate in development and improvement of policies and procedures, and handle employee relations. The HR Generalist position requires an extremely perceptive person who is capable of relating to individuals at all levels within the organization. The ideal candidate will have three to five years of progressive leadership experience in HR in areas including employee relations, performance management, training, and HRIS.

Essential Functions:

  • Administer various human resource plans and procedures
  • Liaison with recruiting, management, and IT to successfully onboard new hires
  • Conduct orientations with new employees as needed
  • Facilitate training and education for managers and employees
  • Handle employee relations, including counseling, investigations, and addressing day to day needs
  • Participate in developing department goals, objectives, and systems
  • Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves, benefits, compensation, and resolve any issues that may arise
  • Assist in maintaining employee related databases, including the Human Resource Information System (HRIS)
  • Prepare and analyze reports for departments as necessary
  • Uphold compliance with federal and state regulations related to employment
  • Review and process termination paperwork
  • Project management for various HR projects throughout the year
  • Other duties as assigned

Training and Experience:

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required
  • 3-5 years of progressive experience in HR roles
  • UltiPro and Kronos experience preferred
  • HR certification preferred
