Overview

The HR Business Partner is an integral part of the HR team, working closely with management to support business leaders in making decisions, participating in development and improvement of policies and procedures, and handling employee relations. The HR Business Partner position requires an extremely perceptive person who is capable of relating to individuals at all levels within the organization, providing comprehensive HR support to support the accomplishment of business priorities. This individual will build credible relations with Business Leaders allowing for better decisions and organizational effectiveness. The ideal candidate will have four to five years of progressive leadership experience in HR in areas including employee relations, performance management, training, and HRIS.

Responsibilities

  • Administer various human resource plans and procedures
  • Assure Company policies are administered fairly and consistently throughout the area of responsibility, communicating and executing on necessary changes
  • Perform employee relations functions including support and counseling regarding personnel and job related conflicts, problem solving and dispute resolution, managing employee performance issues, review and assessment of termination requests
  • Conduct employee related investigations as necessary
  • Oversee the administration of all Leave of Absence programs including accommodations
  • Develop and facilitate employee and supervisor trainings as needed
  • Attend operational meetings and hold regular meetings with key business partners
  • Participate in departmental restructures as needed
  • Participate with Engagements Surveys and Action Planning
  • Develop and support HR Program rollouts and updates
  • Ensure timely and accurate entries to the HRIS database
  • Perform audit and compliance functions as requested on items
  • Maintain employee records in compliance with state and federal requirements
  • Partner with management for coaching and developmental goals
  • Prepare and analyze reports for departments as necessary
  • Uphold compliance with federal and state regulations related to employment
  • Project management for various HR projects throughout the year
  • Conduct orientations with new employees as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Ability to make sound decisions and solve problems while working under pressure
  • Ability to show judgement and initiative and to accomplish job duties in a timely manner
  • Strong knowledge of local, state and federal employment laws and procedures
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Team player – ability to jump in where needed
  • High degree of fluency in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks while providing excellent customer service
  • Excellent attention to detail

Training and Experience

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required
  • 4-5 years of progressive leadership experience in HR roles
  • UltiPro experience preferred
  • HR certification preferred
