Job Summary

The HR Data Analyst is the primary point of contact for employee data reporting and analysis, and will provide additional troubleshooting and configuration support for the HRIS. In this position you will regularly build scheduled and ad-hoc reports, analyze employee data to identify trends, compile and provide insight on executive-level presentations, develop and maintain metrics reporting for the HR functional workgroups, and lead projects to improve HRIS data quality and accuracy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular workforce analyses: retention, turnover, employee demographics
  • Support HR decision-making and process improvements by providing sound reporting, context, analyses, and recommending best practices for data
  • Provide on-demand HR data reporting for all departments
  • Safeguard sensitive user information and system data
  • Participate in projects to implement new systems and interfaces
  • Perform regular audits to resolve data issues, improve accuracy, and identify potential process enhancements and opportunities to automate
  • Document internal processes, training manuals, and controls

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Advanced proficiency with Excel, Access, Visio, and SQL
  • Proficient with IBM Cognos or a similar business intelligence application
  • Capable of using reporting tools to develop complex reports and dashboards
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times and exercise a high level of discretion
  • Excellent fact-based decision making, analytical skills, critical thinking (deductive reasoning and logic), and creative problem solving
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong planning, project management, and organizational skills

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, data science, finance, human resources, or a related field, or equivalent work experience in a similar discipline required
  • 3+ years' HR data analytics experience required
  • 3+ years' experience with UKG Pro (UltiPro) or similar HRIS as an elevated access user required
  • Experience analyzing data structures to recommend process and reporting improvements required
  • 1+ years' experience with IBM Cognos, Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, or similar business intelligence application
