Job Summary:
The Senior Director, Sales Operations is responsible for operational strategy, operational support, existing process management and execution for various departments inside of SelectQuote’s Medicare Advantage Distribution business (“SQS)”, in collaboration with respective department leadership. While executing upon the aforementioned endeavors, this individual will independently or collaboratively build solutions to operational challenges, assist with project management until fruition (occasionally lead the entire project), and partner with analytical support team for business case establishment and new or continued performance monitoring.
As a senior leader in this division, the ideal candidate must be able to communicate and influence internal senior division team members, the executive team, external partners, and the working team to meet objectives. Strong leadership and communications skills are imperative for this role.
This leader (and her/his team) will have the following primary responsibilities:
- Accountable for day-to-day leadership of Sales Operations Team, specifically: work prioritization, throughput management, vision shaping of projects, and development of direct reports, periodic organizational design, and performance management conversations
- Responsible for strategy, execution, and developing operational plans within sales variable compensation, headcount & workforce planning, agent experience & agent technology enablement (CRM & Quote engine tool efficiencies), manager enablement, and quality assurance efficiency planning -- which in turn drives reduced average handle time per call, improved customer retention, lower agent attrition, and higher call delivery
- Responsible for managing to monthly, quarterly, and annual budgeted agent variable sales compensation goals / variance explanation and headcount goals / variance explanations
- In addition to KPI management within the aforementioned categories (headcount & variable compensation), this individual is also responsible for guiding and updating forecasts / budgets within compensation and headcount categories in partnership with the Analytics, Finance, and Sales organizations
- Collaborate and build relationships with respective department leadership, specifically Sales, Analytics, and Marketing department leaders
- Ensures delivery and execution related to project execution are on time and identifies areas of potential risk in delivering to set timelines.

Training & Experience:
- 5-8+ years of progressive management experience
- At least 5 years of experience in an analytical discipline such as finance or data analytics
- At least 5 years of experience in an operational discipline (management, marketing, program management)
- 7+ years leading a team
- Demonstrated ability to manage and deliver against a budgeted P&L
- Proven experience as both a player and a coach – ability to execute while also leading and influencing others
- Bachelor’s degree (MBA preferred)
