Job Summary:
The Network Engineer will be responsible for the monitoring, and maintenance of information technology infrastructure, including physical data center and networking infrastructure with some implementation duties. This person will evaluate and monitor all network devices to ensure maximum reliability and throughput in order to maintain the desired availability of the corporate network.
Essential Functions:
- Maintain multi-site TCP/IP networks, including LAN/WAN, WLAN, ISP, Data Center, and Network Security technologies in line with business architectural needs and industry best practices
- Ensures appropriate network and server monitoring and security systems and alerts are implemented and current
- Documents and maintains network and infrastructure physical and logical diagrams
- Communicates effectively and efficiently with business lines and vendor partners regarding infrastructure support and analyses
- Participates in a 24/7 on-call infrastructure rotation
- Passionately pursue self-improvement, high performance in the areas of customer service, collaboration, teamwork, reliability, productivity, and execution
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- LAN/WAN networking including Static, BGP, VLAN, VSS, and LAG protocols
- IPsec and SSL Virtual Private Networking (VPN)
- Firewall configuration
- Load Balancing configuration
- Wireless Networking configuration
- VOIP and virtual call centers
- Amazon AWS – VPC, VPN Configurations, Route53, ALB, ECS
- Cisco switches and routers
- Fortinet switches and Access Points
- Network services including DNS, DHCP, SMTP, HTTPS
- Ability to adapt to new concepts and technologies quickly; grow skillset rapidly.
Training and Experience:
- CCNA, Network+ or other industry Network and Security certifications preferred
