Job Summary:

SelectQuote is looking to hire a Data Analyst Intern to join our Talent Acquisition team for the summer of 2022. The talent acquisition team within SelectQuote is in charge of all things hiring, from corporate positions, to the licensed sales agent that helps a customer find the right insurance. Members of this team help a candidate go through all stages of the process, including screening their resume, recruiting them to be members of our company, and helping them get ready before their first day. As data analysts for the talent acquisition team, it is our job to help aid the talent acquisition team members by making data readily available and using that data to solve business problems through analysis. The data analyst intern position will offer the individual the opportunity to build reports, aid in analysis, and collaborate with team members while strengthening their abilities with in-demand data tools. This is a paid position.

What you need to be successful:

  • Curious, creative individual who is eager to use data to solve business problems
  • Quick learner
  • Able to present and clearly articulate real world meaning of data analysis to stakeholders
  • A good understanding of statistical concepts (correlation, regressions, probability, etc.)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Some exposure to querying SQL databases
  • Some exposure to commonly used dashboard software like Tableau of PowerBI, or the desire to learn
  • Experience programming in Python/R, or the desire to learn

Qualifications:

  • Availability starting May 2022-August 2022
  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics or other quantitative field
