The Network Engineer II will be responsible for the design, implementation, monitoring, and maintenance of information technology infrastructure, including physical data center and networking infrastructure . This person is responsible for implementing all aspects of the corporate network infrastructure strategy. This person will evaluate and monitor all network devices to ensure maximum reliability and throughput in order to maintain the desired availability of the corporate network.

Essential Functions:

  • Maintain complex multi-site TCP/IP and VoIP networks, including LAN/WAN, Wireless, ISP, Data Center, and Network Security technologies in line with business architectural needs and industry best practices
  • Ensures appropriate network and server monitoring and security systems and alerts are implemented and current
  • Documents and maintains network and infrastructure physical and logical diagrams
  • Drives and coordinates incident management for network related issues
  • Communicates effectively and efficiently with business lines and vendor partners regarding infrastructure support and analyses
  • Develops, recommends, and implements new or updated technologies and procedures to ensure streamlined, secure, and scalable networks
  • Provides 24/7 oncall infrastructure support
  • Lead by example and demonstrate high performance in the areas of customer service, collaboration, teamwork, reliability, productivity, and execution

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • LAN/WAN networking including BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, RIP, and (R)STP protocols
  • Network services including DNS, DHCP, SMTP, HTTP, HTTPS, and SSL
  • Wireless Networking
  • MPLS configuration and management
  • VOIP and virtual call centers
  • Cisco switches and routers
  • Network and Server Load Balancing
  • Fortigate firewall configuration
  • Virtual Private Networking (VPN)
  • Amazon AWS – VPC, VPN Configurations, Route53, ALB, ECS
  • Skilled with security auditing techniques and intrusion detection.

Training and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 8+ years of experience as a Network Engineer, Technology Consultant, or similar role
  • CISSP, CCNP, or other industry certification preferred
  • Experience designing secure networks, systems and application architectures
